This redesigned currency is based on the Edo period of Japan focusing on the Shogun and the booming culture that emerged during the period. The green bill highlights the famous Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu with the back showcasing the samurai Date Masamune. For the pink bill, the main focus is on cultural performers emphasizing a geisha on the front and two kabuki lion dancers on the back.
