Known for his distinct experimentation, David Carson combines scattered text, overlayed type, and collaging to achieve the look he is going for. This project consists of 9 small cards created to reflect Carson’s own design principles. Staying true to his approach, many of these tiles were made using real scraps of paper, tape, stamps, cardboard, and my very own handwriting to simulate the affect of grit and texture commonly found in Carson’s work.
